Cheerleader Jada

Jada started Cheerleading.
Jada has been asking me to put her in cheerleading since last year, so yesterday I finally enrolled her. She was so excited. She really just can’t wait to put on the cheerleading outfit. She loves to get dressed up. I think she probably changes into three or four different dress up costumes everyday when we get home. So, I decided to bring Kobe with me thinking that since the class is only 30mins he should be fine. I even brought toys, books, and snacks to keep him occupied. Well, it was hopeless because only 5 minutes into the class Kobe was driving me crazy. He kept complaining he was bored and wanted to go home. Then he started making loud annoying noises in the auditorium which were echoing even louder. I was so embarrassed. The cheer coach was trying to talk to the parents and all you could hear was Kobe’s echoes. Let just say I will never take him with me again. At least Jada had a good experience. She couldn’t stop talking about how she is going to be in the Holiday Parades for Christmas.

Jada's 6 years old

Today Jada turned 6. Wow! I can’t believe how time flies.
Jada is growing up so fast. She actually wanted a little girl’s sports bra for her birthday. That’s right I did say bra. I was also surprised when she begged me to buy her one the other day at Walmart. I tried to convince her that she really doesn’t need one yet, but I failed to change her mind. So now I officially bought Jada her first bra. Yikes!!! Well, I feel better knowing that it looks more like a mini tank top than a real bra. Jada loves them so much, I ended up going back and buying more because she wants to wear one everyday.
Oh boy, what’s next?

So we had planned to take Jada last night to Sea World again to celebrate her birthday. I was under the impression that Sea World was still staying open late for the summer. I was completely wrong and luckily I decided to call as we were heading down to San Diego. They closed at 6:00pm and we were just getting on the freeway at 5:45pm. Opps! Mom makes mistakes too. Poor Jada was so upset, but a large cup of Dippin Dots ice cream helped her forget.

Tomorrow we are going to have a little family pool Party for Jada at the pool in our complex. Hopefully, it will make-up for my Sea World mistake.

Jada starts school

Jada is back at school this week. I’m really excited her school goes back early. The school District in Murrieta is considered a year round school, so they get shorter summers but longer winter and Spring breaks. I love it. It makes my life easier. I think I would have gone crazy if she had another month of vacation. I was running out of idea to keep her occupied while I was working. I’m really lucky that I work for my dad and can bring Jada to work with me, but she was definitely getting bored.
So this year Jada is going to be in the morning Kindergarten class, which is a big change from last year. Normally Jada loves to sleep in, so last year she went to school at 11:45am. This Year School starts at 8:15am so we are definitely hectic in the morning. I’m running around the house like a crazy mom trying to get everything done. Jada so far has been struggling to get out of bed. I call her Sleeping Beauty because every morning I have to go in her room at least 5 times to drag her out of bed. Today she even cried “Please let me sleep five more minutes, I’m so tired my eyes can’t open mom”. It’s like she’s a teenager already. Kobe on the other hand is jumping out of bed ready to go to
Pre-K.
Well, hopefully in a week or two we’ll have the schedule down.

Sea World

Yesterday we went to Sea world for the day. It was our last little family trip before Jada goes back to school. My niece Kayla joined us too. I was hoping that since it was a Tuesday it wouldn’t be too crowded. I was completely wrong. I’ve never seen so many people in my life. I know its summer but shouldn’t people be working. Although the crowds were annoying, the kids still had a blast. We went on the Journey to Atlantis ride for the first time and the kids loved it. The 45 min. wait was frustrating but worth it in the end. Kobe was one finger width too short to make the height for the ride, so we kind of cheated and told him to walk on his tippy toes. I felt guilty making him lie, but he was so close to the line and I thought lying once wouldn’t hurt. I’m hoping he grows before we go back so I don’t have to do that again. Although, I was a little concerned that Kobe was almost too excited about lying, he loved the idea. Yikes!! I hope I didn’t start something.

Jada got a visit from the Tooth Fairy- Two Times!

This week Jada lost both of her two front bottom teeth. The first one fell out on Monday and the second one was pulled out by mom on Tuesday. She was so excited, mainly because the tooth fairy was going to come. As soon as Jada’s first tooth fell out she decided she didn’t want the tooth fairy to bring her money, but instead she wanted to write her a note requesting a little toy.
Well, I wish I would of thought of that idea when I was little. A toy is way better than quarters under the pillow. So of course the tooth fairy honored her request and Jada got a mini Disney Jazmine doll and a toy cell phone filled with make up. She looks so cute with that big gap.

Jada’s make up skills need a little help when it comes to putting on blush.
I was laughing so hard. She insisted that this is how a real ballerina wears make up.

Peter's Graduation Party Pictures

Here are some pictures from the Surprise Party I had for Peter at the P.F Chang's in La Jolla on Sat. July 19, 2008
I had such a hard time keeping the secret, but I did it. Thanks to Ross and Kim who helped me lie about going to a Birthday Party for Ross. Peter was completely surprised and it took him a few seconds to realize the party was for him. Everything turned out perfect and the food was faboulous.

Peter's Graduation

Well, I'm still trying to figure out this whole blog thing. I love the idea, I just hope I can keep up with it. I kind of let go of myspace so hopefully this can keep everyone updated with our family.
Peter just graduated on July 17 . YEAH!!! I'm so excited that the academy is over. It's been so exhausting for me and Peter. I am so over getting up at 3:30am to make lunch and iron uniforms, and Peter was getting burnt out on all the testing and running. I think at one point he had lost 30 pounds because they were running 3 to 6 miles every day.
Hopefully I will be posting new info soon.:)
